Customize form fields

You can edit and customize form fields within a form or any other Riddle type.

Create columns

Form fields are formatted in rows by default.

  1. To create columns, click on ADD COLUMN BLOCK and select a column ratio.

  2. You can then move the block by clicking on the six dots above the block name, and then dragging and dropping it to any Drop spot.

  3. You can drop more than one form field into the same column. Drag each field to the Drop spot of that column and it is stacked below the fields already there.
  4. To move, copy, or delete a group of columns, click on the three dots under the column group and select Copy, Move up, or Delete.

Duplicate a form block

To reuse a form with all its fields, duplicate the whole block. In the block list on the left, click on the three dots next to the form block and select Duplicate. The copy has the same fields and columns, and you can change it independently.

Use cases:

  • Multi-step sign-up: duplicate a form block for each step, so you have several forms on separate pages with the same look.
  • Contact details and survey in one column: place the name and email fields and the survey fields in the same column, one below the other.

Enable description

  1. Click on the edit icon on the right of any form field to select options.

  2. Enable Description to add a text under the form field title.

Input pre-filled text

  1. Click on the edit icon on the right of a form field.

  2. Enable Pre-filled text to add a text which is in the field form by default.

Make a field hidden

  1. Click on the edit icon on the right of a form field.

  2. Enable Hidden field to hide this field from your audience. You can prefill this field with any data you like without your audience seeing it.

Make a field required

  1. Click on the edit icon on the right of a form field.

  2. Enable Required field to make the field required.

Set up advanced validation

  1. Click on the edit icon on the right of a form field.
