On March 31 and April 1, 2024, the 2024 European Champions League winner will be crowned in front of more than 5,500 spectators. Borussia Düsseldorf, Neu-Ulm, Saarbrücken, and the Austrians from Wiener Neustadt will compete against each other in the final in the Saarlandhalle, including well-known table tennis professionals such as Timo Boll, Dang Qiu, Patrick Franziska, Darko Jorgic and Dimitrij Ovtcharov.

The Future of Fan Engagement: Interactive Content and Data-driven Strategies

Modern sports organizations must adapt to changes when it comes to communicating with their fans. It is becoming increasingly important for them to personalize communication digitally and gradually make it more interactive.

“Table tennis is a dynamic sport that is becoming increasingly popular in Germany, especially among younger people,” explains Boris Pfeiffer, founder and CEO of Riddle Technologies. “The sport harmonizes perfectly with Riddle’s strategy. Our products embody entertainment and the will to win, but also team spirit – values that allow us to appeal to a young audience.
Quizzes can be used for marketing objectives such as fan engagement. Used as a useful data collection tool, they are also great for strengthening fan relationships through polls or surveys.”

Nicolas Barrois, Head of Organization at 1. FC Saarbrücken Table Tennis, adds: “We are delighted to have Riddle Technologies at our side as a partner whose commitment goes beyond mere regional jersey support and who also deals with modern fan relations in terms of content. A strong signal for our sport in difficult economic times.”
