00:00:04.080 –> 00:00:06.240
Hi there, welcome back to . Let’s
00:00:06.240 –> 00:00:07.920
look at some leaderboard specific
00:00:07.920 –> 00:00:10.320
settings. So on the left hand panel click
00:00:10.320 –> 00:00:13.120
on the settings button here and
00:00:13.600 –> 00:00:16.240
by default these leaderboard settings
00:00:16.520 –> 00:00:19.440
unfold and the
00:00:19.440 –> 00:00:21.800
first setting or the first function that
00:00:21.800 –> 00:00:24.440
we have here is the quiz time multiplier.
00:00:24.960 –> 00:00:27.360
This is a formula that
00:00:27.520 –> 00:00:30.520
calculatespoints for participants
00:00:30.520 –> 00:00:33.400
in your quiz, taking into consideration
00:00:33.400 –> 00:00:35.120
not only the score that they get, but
00:00:35.120 –> 00:00:37.100
also how long they take to
00:00:37.100 –> 00:00:40.400
complete the quiz. So this is really
00:00:40.480 –> 00:00:42.080
useful if you really want to have those
00:00:42.080 –> 00:00:44.880
nuances in in points and therefore in
00:00:44.880 –> 00:00:46.720
entries in the leaderboard, especially if
00:00:46.720 –> 00:00:49.680
you want to pick a winner. You can set
00:00:49.680 –> 00:00:52.360
the multiplier to anything between zero
00:00:52.480 –> 00:00:55.120
and 100. and the the exact
00:00:55.120 –> 00:00:57.920
formula is below and also on our help
00:00:57.920 –> 00:00:59.440
website if you want to look into that a
00:00:59.440 –> 00:01:02.240
bit more. Okay, so that’s the
00:01:02.320 –> 00:01:04.760
scoring. Then let’s look at the
00:01:04.760 –> 00:01:06.880
display. By default, we have this
00:01:07.520 –> 00:01:10.480
platform setup like, or podium setup
00:01:10.480 –> 00:01:12.800
like in a real event competition,
00:01:13.760 –> 00:01:16.080
but you can also change it to a compact
00:01:16.080 –> 00:01:17.840
view where you just have the entries,
00:01:17.920 –> 00:01:20.080
including the top three, underneath each
00:01:20.080 –> 00:01:22.560
other like that. So that’s a a
00:01:23.440 –> 00:01:26.080
spaced option, but also a design
00:01:26.080 –> 00:01:28.960
preference. And down here, you
00:01:28.960 –> 00:01:31.360
can see this share button. Normally you
00:01:31.360 –> 00:01:33.680
have sharing options on the result page,
00:01:34.640 –> 00:01:36.400
but of course a leaderboard is a sort of
00:01:36.400 –> 00:01:38.880
result page in its own right. And this
00:01:38.880 –> 00:01:41.880
allows a participant to share their
00:01:41.880 –> 00:01:44.320
own score and a link to the
00:01:44.480 –> 00:01:47.240
URL of of the leaderboard so that if
00:01:47.240 –> 00:01:49.040
they’ve taken part, they can also check
00:01:49.040 –> 00:01:51.600
where they are in the table. What we have
00:01:51.600 –> 00:01:53.640
underneath is the number of results that
00:01:53.640 –> 00:01:56.240
you have above or below the own
00:01:56.240 –> 00:01:58.480
participants’ entries. For example, if
00:01:58.480 –> 00:02:01.360
I’m in 10th place and I set the
00:02:01.360 –> 00:02:03.520
number of results above to be three and
00:02:03.520 –> 00:02:05.920
below to be three, then I’ll see
00:02:06.400 –> 00:02:09.280
who was in 7th, 8th and 9th, and
00:02:09.280 –> 00:02:12.160
11th, 12th and 13th. so that you
00:02:12.160 –> 00:02:13.100
don’t see the whole leaderboard
00:02:14.960 –> 00:02:16.640
because in some cases that would be very,
00:02:16.640 –> 00:02:19.040
very long but you just want to see who’s
00:02:19.040 –> 00:02:21.400
around you as well as who’s in first,
00:02:21.400 –> 00:02:23.280
second and third place. That’s always
00:02:23.280 –> 00:02:26.240
there by default as well. Okay,
00:02:26.560 –> 00:02:28.640
that’s all the leaderboard specific
00:02:28.640 –> 00:02:30.880
settings for scoring and the display.
00:02:31.600 –> 00:02:33.160
And then underneath, you have all the
00:02:33.160 –> 00:02:34.840
other sorts of settings that you might
00:02:34.840 –> 00:02:37.080
have for any Riddle, notably branding and
00:02:37.080 –> 00:02:38.100
monetization. Under branding, for
00:02:38.100 –> 00:02:41.480
example, making sure that you have your
00:02:41.480 –> 00:02:43.280
own slogan or logo underneath the
00:02:43.280 –> 00:02:45.760
leaderboard, for example, rather than the
00:02:45.760 –> 00:02:47.640
Riddle logo, depending on your
00:02:47.640 –> 00:02:50.240
Riddle plan. If you have sponsors, this
00:02:50.240 –> 00:02:52.200
is the place where you would want to
00:02:52.800 –> 00:02:54.880
insert ads above or below the
00:02:54.880 –> 00:02:57.520
leaderboard, as with any other Riddle.
00:02:57.840 –> 00:03:00.360
So that’s something you can look into if
00:03:00.360 –> 00:03:03.120
it’s a cooporation, or even ads for
00:03:03.120 –> 00:03:05.680
other products or services or events that
00:03:05.680 –> 00:03:08.080
you are hosting. That’s another option as
00:03:08.080 –> 00:03:10.200
well, of course, even if you don’t, if you
00:03:10.200 –> 00:03:13.200
aren’t using sponsors for this, and for
00:03:13.200 –> 00:03:14.960
this leaderboard or for this competition.
00:03:15.120 –> 00:03:16.960
And finally, security is something that
00:03:16.960 –> 00:03:18.920
some of you will find highly important.
00:03:18.960 –> 00:03:21.040
And for security, I would recommend going
00:03:21.040 –> 00:03:22.800
into the quizzes themselves to make sure
00:03:22.800 –> 00:03:24.560
that, for example, people can’t play more
00:03:24.560 –> 00:03:26.320
than once if that’s important for you,
00:03:26.560 –> 00:03:28.960
limiting the number of plays by
00:03:29.200 –> 00:03:31.600
browser or IP, or lead
00:03:31.600 –> 00:03:33.360
identifier. So that’s something you can
00:03:33.360 –> 00:03:35.800
look at in each quiz that you connect to
00:03:35.840 –> 00:03:38.480
a leaderboard. Okay,
00:03:38.720 –> 00:03:40.400
that’s our settings done for our
00:03:40.400 –> 00:03:42.680
leaderboard and I’ll see you
00:03:42.960 –> 00:03:45.160
in the next clip for another
00:03:45.680 –> 00:03:47.600
setting or configuration for the
00:03:47.600 –> 00:03:49.400
leaderboards. If you have any questions,
00:03:49.400 –> 00:03:52.080
feel free to ask us as always. See you in
00:03:52.080 –> 00:03:52.800
the next video.
