2 Create personalities
In this lesson, you’ll set up the foundation of your personality quiz by creating the results your users will see. These personalities define the end goal of the quiz so getting them right is key to building a meaningful and engaging experience. We will:
- start a new personality quiz in the Riddle Creator
- choose a clear, clickable title for the quiz
- add and name up to four personality result types
- write meaningful descriptions for each result
- upload images to visually represent each personality
- use internal labels to stay organized while building
- share tips on how many personalities to use and how to make them relatable
Transcript:
Welcome back to Riddle! Let’s dive into the Creator and start building our personality quiz.
From your Riddle Creator dashboard, click on Create, and under Personality Quiz, select Start from scratch.
Next, enter a title. Make sure it’s clear and gives your audience a good idea of what the quiz is about — you want them to be intrigued and click through, not confused or unsure.
By default, Riddle includes two personalities. For this quiz, we want four. Just click Add a personality twice to create them. These personalities are the foundation of your quiz — they are the results your audience will receive at the end.
For each personality, you’ll:
- Add a result title
- Write a brief description (this can be short but should provide insight into that personality)
- Upload a related image
For example, our first personality is Comfort-Driven Cruiser. We’ll paste in a short description and choose a suitable image from the media library.
Once that’s done, you can click Preview to see how it looks — this is what your users will see on their result page.
Repeat the same process for the other three personalities:
- Eco-Friendly Driver
- Practical Commuter
- Performance Enthusiast
Quick tip: in the editor, you’ll see a label at the top of each personality card. That’s for your use only — it’s not shown to your audience. You can rename this label to match your result title to stay organized.
We recommend using three to five personalities total. It keeps the quiz engaging and results easy to relate to. Make sure each personality is distinct yet believable, so users can identify with their result.
Now that our four personalities are ready, we’ll move on to building questions in the next video.
