Everyone has been shaped to love their neighbors in unique ways. Find out how you are made for Front Yard Mission in this quiz!
We'd love to help you take your next steps in developing your own Front Yard Mission. It's all about loving God and loving neighbor, which Jesus said are the two most important things in this life!
Here are some steps you can take to grow in your Front Yard Mission:
1) Get some coaching! Coaches help develop and draw out your best. Email steve.lutz@calvarysc.org to get connected to a coach.
2) Take the growth tracks called "7 Steps to Love Your Neighbor in a Pandemic" (text-based) and all the "Small Beginnings" tracks, especially "Silence the Inner Critic." All of these are availabe at our learning platform called FYMHQ. You can sign up for many other training opportunities there as well.
3) Watch FYM on YouTube, follow FYM on Instagram and on Twitter, and join the conversation on Facebook.
4) Learn more about the other neighboring shapes and add them to your repertoire. Learn more about them here.
You know Romans 1:16 by heart, and you believe it! You are not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God for salvation for all who believe. Whenever you get the chance to share the gospel clearly and boldly, you take it. And you're always looking for those opportunities. Yeah, maybe sometimes you force it but you know God's word never returns void and you won't be dissuaded from shrinking the population of Hell, one soul at a time.
We need evangelists in the Kingdom of God, so your shape is a real gift! Steward it well.
2) Take the growth track called "Love Your Neighbor's...Sign?" at FYMHQ. You can sign up for many other training opportunities there as well.
You excel at inviting people to things. And when you make the invite, they love to come! Whether it's dinner, a movie night, a party, or Life Group, weekend worship, or community service, you always seem to have people in tow. You figure you'll be able to tell people about Jesus, but it's far better to *show* them by letting them experience it for themselves!
2) Take the growth track called "Share your God Story in 30 Minutes or Less" at FYMHQ. You can sign up for many other training opportunities there as well.
You are always ready to testify to the good work God has done, is doing, and will do in your life! You have a story, and you love when you get to share it. You've thought through how to adapt which parts of your story to share based on the person listening and the situation. While your story involves you, you make sure it's really about God.
You don't just pay lip-service to "Pray First." You believe it with all your heart. You know that prayer is essential for opening doors. You pray for your neighbors by name. You pray with frequency, intensity, and specificity. When you walk your neighborhood, you're inevitably prayer walking, praying "on site with insight." You are a prayer warrior!
2) Take the growth track called "How to Pray Like Nehemiah" at FYMHQ. You can sign up for many other training opportunities there as well.
You love helping people. If they have a practical need, you are there for them. Do they need someone to run an errand? You're on it! A meal during a challenging time? You already have a few in your freezer. Fixing a leaky appliance? If you can't do it, you know someone who can. People know they can count on you, and they frequently do. You love your neighbors in countless ways as you serve them.
2) Take the growth track called "Growing an Organic Front Yard Mission" at FYMHQ. You can sign up for many other training opportunities there as well.
You like making connections, and forming relationships with your neighbors is something that comes fairly easily to you. You're glad to know them, and they're glad to know you. You put the friendship into friendship evangelism!
First *and* last?
