One size doesn’t fit all when it comes to learning new things. Did you know that there are three ways that students approach learning? Discovering how your child best understands material is step one in knowing how to teach them in the best way possible.
Is your child an auditory, visual or kinesthetic learner?
Your child is an auditory learner, meaning they learn best by hearing. They are acutely aware of inflection and tone, often having a talent for music. Auditory learners typically like to hear lessons and then review the main points aloud for retention.

Your child is a visual learner, meaning they learn best by seeing and watching. They often read body language well and pay attention to aesthetics. Visual learners take notes, make lists and watch the world before taking action.

Your child is a kinesthetic learner, which means they learn best by doing, touching and interacting. This is not a standard way of teaching, so you will probably need to be creative. They are better at demonstrating a concept than verbally explaining it, and they typically excel at math and science.
