We read and reply to everyone

February 26th, 2026

Delayed Email Automations

You’ve always been able to send emails when someone completes a Riddle. Now you can trigger emails based on events – the first event we implemented is when a prediction result is entered.

This is perfect for raffles, predictions, and competitions: set up your email once, and let Riddle send the right message to winners and losers automatically when the winner was picked.

Automatic Winner Picking at a Scheduled Time

No more manually picking winners at a specific time. You can now schedule exactly when winners should be drawn – Riddle handles the rest, including triggering any connected email automations.

Combine this with delayed emails for a fully hands-off competition workflow: create your raffle, set your deadline, schedule the draw, and let the emails fly. No need to do multiple steps anymore, everything is one workflow.

Pro tip: Create a template with everything pre-configured to be even faster!

Other Improvements

Crossword RTL support – Crosswords now fully support right-to-left languages like Arabic and Hebrew, opening up Riddle to a whole new audience.

Answer explanation API options – You can now configure answer explanations to display below the question instead of as a popup, all via API. We’re happy to share more information!

Leaderboard improvements

We’ve made leaderboards more flexible and lowered the friction for endusers massively. Previously, users were always required to enter their nickname and email, which then needed to be confirmed with a 2FA token.

We’ve introduced great new flexibility into the leaderboard, by not requiring either anymore!

Leaderboards without 2-factor-authentication
A new setting allows you to disable OTP verification entirely.
You can find the setting in the leaderboard settings under “Security / Privacy”.
For new leaderboards, this option is off by default, as we found users just use leaderboards for fun and engagement, rather than serious competitions where 2FA is necessary

Leaderboards without email addresses
You can now remove the email mapping if you don’t want emails to be required or displayed. This mimics and “arcade style” leaderboard, where users just had to enter their nickname.

Additionally, we made the lead handling for leaderboards easier.

You can now download all entries in one file under Leaderboard → Analyze → Download Leads. There are two possible exports that can be generated:

One clean export featuring only name, email

One export including all user data as well as a detailed breakdown of how the user’s score is put together.

Other improvements:

Improved lead sending to Google Sheets
Increased stability and reliability.

Replaced Pixie image editor with a simple crop tool
Our old image editor was not updated anymore by it’s provider, meaning the possibility to add emojis and stickers to images in Riddle disappeared.
