4 Form

In this video we add a form to the quiz. We:

• create a form with name, email, and checkbox fields
• discuss required fields

Hi there, welcome back to Riddle. In this step we’re going to add the form to our quiz so that your participants can take part in the giveaway competition. This is our form here. Let’s go into the creator to set this up. We have all our questions here and now click on add a block again but this time select make a form. By default you have a name and email field already in here and so the only thing we need to add by clicking on add form block is the checkbox. Click on that and now you can click on the edit button here and you can input the text that you want for your checkbox so I’m going to copy and paste the text that I would like for the text for the checkbox itself and I’ve got This label here, please check this box to enter the competition.

Okay one addition that we highly recommend is linking the terms and conditions that you mention in this checkbox to your terms and conditions on your website. So highlight the part that you want to link, click on this link element here, and then you can copy and paste the link there. By default, new tab is enabled so that your participants can have this page open and be taken to that page outside the page for this riddle. Click on save. Okay, and the final thing I want to do here is enable required field, because I don’t want to collect these names and email addresses without having my participants permission to do so. Okay, click on save. Let’s click on preview. Here we have all the information, but I would like to add in an image.

So as always, up here click on add image and this time I’m not going to take a picture from Pexels I’m not going to use my media library I’m going to upload an image from my desktop so select the image that I want okay great click on preview here we have it our form ready for our competition oh one more thing To enter this, they of course need to put in their name, email address and check this box. But if you want to allow the participants to just play the quiz without entering the competition, then you have the skip button here. They can click on skip and then just go to the result page. If you want to disable the skip button and make it compulsory to fill out this form to get to their results, you can disable the skip button.

You click on the options here and now On this panel, click here next to disable skip button. Now, when I preview it or play it, there is no skip button anymore. So I have to fill out this information. I can’t submit and continue without doing that. Okay, we have our questions. We have our form.
