Hi there, it’s time to publish our riddle and release it out into the world. So, there are three steps to do that and we’ll go through them now. So in your riddle, wherever you are, click on publish and click on publish again here. Okay, now we have a riddle landing page which gets created automatically. You can click on it and see your riddle here. And that’s one way that you can also share your riddle. You can send this URL to people and people can play the riddle that way. But you can also embed it. And the way you do that is that we have an embed code that you can then put on your website. But to make sure that no one copies your riddle and uses it as their own material, we need to whitelist the website where you want to put that riddle.
So to do that, go into the Mega menu at the top right and click on Add/ Edit domains. And here you can see for my account, these are the domains that I have. And I want to add a new one. So, click on add new domain and this is where you put your website name dot whatever. Click on create and then it’ll appear; it’ll appear in this list of domains down here now I can embed any riddles that I want to go on this website and it will appear there. So let’s go back into the riddle that we were on, click on publish again and now go to embed slash landing page and I want to get the code that I can then paste into my website creator so click on get the code and this is the code right here; click on copy, paste it into your website creator whether it’s WordPress or any other company and then it will once you’ve published it there, that will then appear on your website.
If you want to make any changes to how your riddle appears, you can click on advanced settings here and here are a few different things that you can set up; this is the default. Let’s imagine you’ve got a header at the top of your page and you want to make sure that the riddle always appears below it then we could enable That and write the number of pixels for that offset at the top you might also want to make sure that lazy load images is activated and lazy load riddle if it isn’t already so that the riddle and any images that are there are only loaded when they need to be and don’t yet take too much time or use up too much capacity to to load.
Okay, you might want to fix set a fixed height for your riddle that would be here or width and in some cases you might need to make sure that JavaScript isn’t used. That’s not a common thing but if you need to do that then you can enable that down here. If you’ve made any changes up here make sure you copy this code again. Paste it again into your website creator and it’s done, you’ve created your riddle, you’ve edited it, you’ve set up the design, the settings, published it, whitelisted your domain, and now embedded it on your website creator.
