Automate content delivery with an embed placeholder

Automate your content delivery with the Riddle.com embed placeholder.

Hi there, I’m Boris, Founder and CEO of riddle.com. I’m going to show you how you can fully automate content delivery using Riddle’s embed placeholder. The embed placeholder allows you to set certain conditions like: show a new Riddle every day at 9:00 AM on my website, or start a score predictor for my sports game and when the game starts, close the predictor and show the predictor for next week’s game.

So let’s get started creating an embed placeholder. Click on ‘Create Riddle’ and select the ‘Embed Placeholder’. Create it from scratch and call it ‘Daily Quiz’. You need to select one Riddle to start so it’s not empty, so I’m going to select this Riddle. And then I’m going to add conditions. I can add conditions that are date-based or just time-based conditions. So my time-based condition will have a Riddle start at 5:02 PM, just a couple minutes from when I’m recording this. And I’m going to select the Riddle to start based on a tag. So my tag is ‘Daily’, and I’m going to publish or I’m going to show the last published Riddle with the tag ‘Daily’.

Now I’m going to publish this placeholder, and we’re going to take a look at it. And it’s going to show the ‘Quiz of the day, October 26th’. Now going back to Riddle and back to our Riddles, we’re going to select a new Riddle to publish and that Riddle will be this one that I have in draft. It’s for October 27th, and I change that name so we’ll see there’s a new name. I’m going to go and publish this Riddle. So as soon as the time-based condition is met, this Riddle is going to be shown in the embed placeholder.

If you need to edit your embed placeholder, please go to the cogwheel up here and select the ‘Embed Placeholder’ option here. It’s not a regular Riddle so it doesn’t show up in your list of Riddles. Go here and you can edit the embed placeholder here. Now that the condition is met, if someone is playing this Riddle, you can see this message: “Load new content.” Or if you just refresh the page or someone comes new to your page, he’s going to see the new content for October 27th that we set up.

Now you can combine this with our API and our AI Riddle creation and fully automate your content creation workflow. Have new Riddles created using our AI, place them on your website using the API, and use the embed placeholder with time-based conditions to show new content daily at set times and intervals.
